It sounds wild, but your ears are packed with nerve endings and reflex points that communicate directly with your nervous system. Stimulating them can instantly release the tension or discomfort in your neck.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟲𝟬-𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁

​Check your range: Slowly turn your head side to side. Notice how far you can comfortably go. Rate the level of discomfort or tension out of 10. 

​The Reset: Turn your head to the side of the discomfort or tension and firmly massage the ear that's closer to your back. Unfold and pull  all around your ears for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat for the other side.

#neckLoosening your jaw through intense pressure can be a shocking experience for the client, and shock causes the muscles in our jaw to clench again, meaning any relief you get won't last very long.

If you really want to loosen your tight jaw the head has to feel relaxed, the jaw has to be willing to open and you need to be breathing into the relaxation of the process. Which is very hard to do when someone is jamming their fingers into the tender side of your jaw.

I’m not saying manual, deeper techniques don’t work. I’m saying we don’t have to be harsh with the jaw muscle (and that applies to the whole body too ) to get results
